Aaron the Rhydon- Pokemon Armonia App

OMG, I MADE IT IN!!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! Finally I get into one of the big groups, woohoo! Anyways, I'm really happy I'll be getting to draw Aaron more often, now, I was really anxious about the application. Oh well, now I can relax and swim around in my happiness like a maniac. Aaron will see everybody at the Armonia Institute really soon!

Personality: Aaron is more laid back than your typical Rhydon- growing up in a rather musical family, Aaron has learned life can sometimes be hard, so he's grown not to be too harsh or severe around others. Because of this, Aaron was never the most fond about battling, he was always more on the defense side of things than the attacking side. Aaron usually isn't afraid to mingle, and tries to keep a positive attitude in conversations unless the person he's talking to is really getting on his nerves. Aaron was never the best at drawing or having good penmanship, and geography was never his thing. He usually needs to get very used to a place before he can remember where things are, and his sense of direction definitely could use some improvement, but he pretends like he always knows where he's going so others don't think badly about him.

History:
Sixteen years ago on March 3rd in Saffron City, a Rhyhorn named Aaron was born. Aaron grew up with his older brother (Armand), his mother (Maryam) and his father (Paul). From a young age, his parents always wanted him to grow up to be a very musical person like them, as his dad was a professional piano player and his mum played many string instruments, both playing for an orchestra. The family never made much money as their lives revolved around their music, so sometimes paying home fees were difficult. Despite Paul and Maryam's forcefulness to make Aaron and Armand do music, they were both very cheerful, and they always accepted life the way it was, even if money was hard to get sometimes.

Aaron was introduced to the piano in grade 2, his parents having him taking weekly lessons (besides on summer holidays). When they had believed he'd become good enough, about two to three years later they had signed him up for weekly violin lessons, too. Aaron later was signed up for singing lessons by his parents, too, which really filled up his schedule. Aaron didn't mind doing all of this, but he realized if his parents kept signing him up for all these things, he wouldn't be able to handle it anymore, so he had his parents promise they wouldn't sign him up for anything else if he took singing lessons. Aaron was okay with piano and violin, but didn't like singing at first. Eventually, it grew onto him, and he got used to his busy schedule. Truthfully, Aaron never really wanted to pursue music as a career, after seeing from his parents how you wouldn't earn much money from it, but he hid this thought so he wouldn't disappoint them.

Throughout all his years in school, Aaron had never been the top student in class. As his family enjoyed music so much, they typically put music in front of education, so Aaron never had the encouragement to do academic subjects like others in his grade had. Still, even if he was just average, he would never get awful grades. He generally got Bs in all subjects but music, he got quite a few As in that section. Aaron only had a few friends in elementary school, as the school he went to wasn't the biggest in the city, but he was just fine in the small building. Aaron was also one to participate in activities after school, his favourite being the cross-country running club and choir.

Armand grew up to be your typical rude, slightly spoilt older brother since Aaron was born three years after him. Of course, he was really only mean to Aaron, but Aaron still viewed him as a rather mean person growing up. Armand's musical abilities were always greater than Aaron's (since their parents were stricter with him than with his little brother), Armand always got higher grades than Aaron, and was always better piano player than Aaron was, so he sometimes liked to rub it in Aaron's face a bit whenever he won local music competitions. Armand would sometimes help Aaron with homework or help him play his instruments, though, as he still did care for him (even if he never showed it so his brother wouldn't think of him as soft).

Finally, Aaron had evolved into a Rhydon at the early age of 16. He was still getting used to his new features at the time, but he enjoyed finally evolving into the evolution Armand was at, as he had evolved into a Rhydon two years earlier. Paul had prepared something for Aaron for his birthday- It was a watch with a picture of a violin on it. Paul told Aaron that it was a present from his grandfather, and that he was waiting for the right time to give it to him. Aaron took it with pleasure, wearing it very often- sometimes even sleeping with it still around his wrist.

Now that both of their sons were getting even older, Aaron's parents were really anticipating how Aaron and Armand planned to choose their careers. The high schools in Saffron City didn't provide a music program like they'd hoped for, so Paul and Maryam did some research, and found a school which seemed to be better than the ones there were in Saffron City. The only problem was that the family couldn't afford to put both Aaron and Armand in this school that was so far from their city, so there was this big conflict that lasted for a while. In the end, Armand got his way (being the one who complained the most about not wanting to go), since Paul suggested Aaron should go due to his musical abilities being inferior to Armand's, like they always were. So, with that, Aaron mailed his application to enter into the Armonia Institute, hopeful he'd be able to get better grades and could possibly make more friends there.

Extras/Fun Facts:
-Aaron felt socks were never his thing after he'd evolved since his sharp nails always tore at his footwear, so Aaron typically likes to walk around in sandals unless it's cold out or he's going to a formal occasion.
-Aaron's penmanship is a bit messy, unless he's writing something important and needs to write neatly. However, this takes him longer to write, so Aaron usually doesn't try.
-Aaron is uncomfortable battling since he doesn't want to hurt anyone. If it's to defend himself, though, he'll fight until his adversary falls, and will do no extra.
-Aaron doesn't have an eye for visual arts in general, so he paints just as well as he draws.
-Aaron doesn't care about appearence most of the time, he won't really notice if his clothes match or not. He'll never wear socks and sandals, though.
-Aaron is a talented piano and violin player, and also sings quite well.
-Aaron prefers older music than new pop music- he especially dislikes music with synthesizers, dubstep and music where no genuine instruments are playing.
-Aaron's favourite food would have to be pizza, and isn't picky as to what toppings are on it as long as it's pizza.
-Aaron is right-handed.
-Aaron's favourite colour is blue, more specifically royal blue.
-If Aaron is directly insulted, he doesn't take it lightly, and will try to make the insulter take back what they said. He may make threats to make them take it back, but he'll never actually get violent.
-In the past, Aaron has broken a few violin strings due to his claws.
-Aaron can be very ticklish, but if he's in a good mood, he won't tell you off for it.

So, this is my second attempt at an Armonia app, I tried once when I knew nothing about RP groups and epically failed. XD That was even before I made Jason, lol. Anyways, after Pokepark-dA closed down, I really wanted to find a new Pokémon RP group to enter, and coincidentally, Armonia was the first group I looked at and applications were open! I freaked out, lol. After widdling down a bunch of Pokémon and names for this new character, I finally created Aaron, whom I quite like to draw, now. (I was deciding between Snivy, Tyrunt, Blaziken, Charmeleon and Feraligatr. Armand and Paul were my other name choices, so I used them for Aaron's family members, lol.) I hope I can get in with this, pleeeease critique this or at least tell me what you think! Be wary that I don't play Pokémon videogames, though, so be honest with me when you're telling me what you think. Thank you, and I hope I get in!
